Band logos can be fun and frustrating. Just like any business you want something memorable and even more important, something COOOOL. Something that will look like a million bucks on a t-shirt, album cover, stage backdrop, drum head, beer coozie, and sooo much more.
With physical record sales being so low, entertainers have to find new ways to make a living. This is where concerts, meet and greets and merch come into play.
The first inspiration for this logo came from the name F3, which is a pretty nasty tornado that can knock your house down and throw your life into a field. The band members hometown was hit with two tornados only a couple years apart. One member and his family lost their entire house and most of their possessions.
The second bit of inspiration came from some of the band members favorite bands. Black Flag and Van Halen were a big influence along with a dash of Elvis’ TCB.
The color palate was chosen for its uniqueness in the rock world and as a band favorite.
Success: A cohesive look and feel of both classic rock logos and contemporary design techniques immediately elevated the group above the average bar band status.
